Pittsburgh PRIDE

The five Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Lutheran congregations of the Pittsburgh region are proud to come together in celebration and solidarity for Pittsburgh Pride 2025. On Saturday, May 31, we will host a shared booth in the Allegheny West neighborhood near the National Aviary, as part of the day-long Pride festivities. This is a vital opportunity for our congregations to offer a visible, welcoming Christian presence that affirms God’s love for all people—especially our LGBTQIA+ siblings.

Our booth will be a space of radical hospitality and joy, offering conversation, encouragement, and free affirming materials to those attending Pride. We hope to show that faith communities can be inclusive, supportive, and passionate about justice.

Volunteers are needed to help staff the booth from 10 am – 6 pm. Shifts are flexible and typically run 1–2 hours. Whether you’re available for just a short time or for most of the day, your presence matters. Volunteers will help greet visitors, share information about our RIC congregations, and distribute resources and Pride swag.

This is a great way to represent your church, connect with others, and witness to the inclusive love of Christ. No prior experience is necessary—just a willing heart, a welcoming spirit, and sunscreen!

Visit our shared sign-up here to volunteer. Let’s show up with open arms, bold love, and bright colors.

Together, we can make a difference—one conversation, one smile, one rainbow at a time. See you at Pride!
