Outdoor Service & Picnic – Join Us!

Mark your calendars for a special day of worship and fellowship! On Sunday, September 7, at 10:00 AM, Perry Highway Lutheran Church and our youth ministry partner, Heritage Presbyterian Church, will gather together for a joint outdoor worship service and picnic. This uplifting morning of community and celebration will take place at the Garner Pavilion in North Park, conveniently located along Ingomar Road.

This is a wonderful opportunity to worship in the beauty of God’s creation, meet new friends, and enjoy fellowship with our church partners. Our outdoor service will feature joyful music, a short message, and a time of prayer as we give thanks for God’s presence among us. Following worship, we will share a delicious picnic lunch and plenty of laughter together. During the picnic, we will also have our welcome-back-to-school-celebration. It will be a time of games. We will invite all youth ages PreK and up to come and participate and get to know one another.

To help us plan the meal, please sign up in the Narthex. When signing up, indicate your preference for a hamburger, hot dog, or a veggie burger/dog so we can ensure we have plenty for everyone. We also ask each household to bring either a side dish or dessert to share. This potluck-style meal is always a highlight as we enjoy the wide variety of flavors our church families bring!

Whether you are a long-time member, a first-time guest, or a friend of our youth ministry, this event is for everyone. Invite your neighbors, family, and friends to join in this day of worship and community.

Come as you are, bring a lawn chair if you’d like, and prepare for a morning of faith, food, and fun in the park. We look forward to seeing you at North Park’s Garner Pavilion for this memorable outdoor service and picnic!
