Film Club Discussion
PHLC Film Club viewed The Truman Show on February 8. We will be gathering before worship at 8:30 am on Sunday, February 22, for our discussion. Whether you’re a Film Club regular or brand new to the group, this is a perfect opportunity to gather for thoughtful conversation, good food, and a film that continues to spark reflection years after its release.
Starring Jim Carrey in a surprising dramatic role, The Truman Show tells the story of an ordinary man who slowly discovers that his entire life is actually a television show—and that the world around him is not quite what it seems. The film raises compelling questions about authenticity, freedom, community, and what it means to live truthfully. These themes often resonate deeply with faith, making it a great fit for our Film Club conversations.
If you didn’t join us for the viewing, watch from home and join us for the discussion! You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, and there’s no pressure to speak up—simply come and enjoy being part of the community.
We hope you’ll join us for this morning Film Club discussion as we share a meaningful connection together.
