Christmas Pageant
As we look ahead to the coming Christmas season, our hearts turn to the angel’s proclamation in Luke 2:11: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” These words, filled with joy, hope, and promise, remind us why we gather each year to celebrate. They point us once again to the heart of the season: the wondrous gift of Jesus, born for us, bringing light into the world. It is this spirit of joy and anticipation that will shape our celebration in this year’s Christmas Pageant.
This year’s pageant will be an all-ages, all-church, completely impromptu retelling of the Christmas story! Instead of memorized lines or scheduled rehearsals, we invite everyone—from our tiniest toddlers to our teens, adults, and elders—to step in and help bring the story to life in a fun and meaningful way. The goal is not perfection but participation: a joyful, creative expression of our shared faith.
During the worship service on Sunday, December 14, you’ll have the opportunity to choose a costume or simple prop and join the story right where you are. Shepherds, angels, animals, Marys, Josephs, and Magi—there will be a place for everyone. Whether you prefer to take on a role or simply enjoy watching the story unfold, your presence will enrich this celebration of Christ’s birth.
This impromptu pageant is a wonderful way for our entire church family to connect with the heart of the nativity story. As we gather in community and step into the narrative together, we experience again the joy of the Savior who came for all of us.
We can’t wait to share this joyful moment with you and celebrate God’s love made flesh in Christ our Lord.
