Queer Ballroom Dance

Join us on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 7:00–10:00 pm for a joyful and affirming evening at PHLC as we host a Queer Ballroom Dance. This special event is a celebration of self-expression, community, and connection, welcoming people of all identities, orientations, and levels of dance experience.

Queer Ballroom reimagines traditional partner dancing in a space that is inclusive, welcoming, and free from rigid gender roles. Participants are encouraged to dance in the role that feels most authentic to them, switch roles if they wish, or simply enjoy the music and movement. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or have two left feet, this event is about fun, freedom, and being fully yourself.

Throughout the evening, you’ll have opportunities to learn basic ballroom steps in a relaxed and supportive environment, making it easy for beginners to jump in and enjoy the dance floor. Laughter, music, and shared joy will set the tone as we come together to celebrate diversity and build community through movement.

This event reflects PHLC’s commitment to inclusion, hospitality, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued. Come with a partner, bring a friend, or arrive on your own—you’ll be welcomed just as you are. Comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in are recommended.

In a world that often places limits on how people are expected to show up, Queer Ballroom offers a refreshing and empowering alternative: a place where everyone belongs. Mark your calendar and join us on January 31 from 7:00–10:00 pm for an evening of dance, connection, and celebration. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
