Film Club

Film Club is getting together again, and everyone is invited to join us for our next movie and discussion! We will meet over lunch on Sunday, September 13th, to watch A Serious Man (2009), a darkly humorous film from acclaimed filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen.

The film follows Larry Gopnik, a physics professor whose life begins to unravel as he faces a series of unexpected personal, professional, and family challenges. As Larry searches for answers and tries to make sense of everything happening around him, the film explores questions of faith, uncertainty, family, morality, and the sometimes absurd nature of life. There will be plenty to think about—and plenty to talk about!

After watching the film, we will gather again on Sunday, October 4th, which is also the day of our blood drive, to discuss A Serious Man together. This gives everyone some time to reflect on the movie before we come together to share thoughts, observations, questions, and different perspectives.

Film Club is a great opportunity to enjoy a good movie while also getting to know one another through thoughtful conversation and fellowship. Whether you are a longtime film enthusiast or simply enjoy watching an interesting movie and discussing it with others, you are welcome to participate.
