Adult Bible Study – Gospel of Luke Begins May 25
After two years of exploring the rich and complex stories of the Hebrew Bible, PHLC’s Adult Education group is excited to begin a new journey—this time through the Gospel of Luke. Starting May 25, we’ll open the pages of the New Testament and dive into the life, teachings, and radical compassion of Jesus as told by Luke, the storyteller known for his attention to the marginalized and his deep sense of justice.
Whether you’ve been with us since Genesis or this is your first time cracking open a Bible, you are warmly invited to join us. Our group is made up of folks from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences—some with years of study behind them, others just starting out. What unites us is a shared curiosity, a willingness to ask tough questions, and a deep respect for one another’s insights and stories.
You don’t need to have any prior knowledge to participate. Just bring an open mind, a sense of wonder, and a heart ready to engage. Together, we’ll explore the familiar and the surprising—unpacking parables, tracing themes of mercy and liberation, and wrestling with what this ancient text means for our lives today.
Adult Bible Study is a space where questions are welcomed, doubts are not dismissed, and faith is allowed to grow in honest and thoughtful ways. Whether you’re seeking a deeper understanding of scripture or a supportive community to reflect and learn with, we hope you’ll join us.
Classes begin May 25. All are welcome—no homework, no pressure, just real conversation and a shared journey through one of the most powerful stories ever told.
