This morning, we visited the Gutenburg Museum in Mainz where we saw 4 of the original 14 printed bibles . . . for approximately 30 seconds total. We then went to the medieval town of Rothenburg, where an 87-year-old shopkeeper confessed her love for Italian men and said that I looked just like Engelbert Humperdinck! My girls thought it was quite funny. We then visited St. Jacob’s Church and visited the renowned “Blood Alter,” where it is said that a drop of Christ’s blood is on this altar . . . ha ha. After that, we went on to Nuremburg, the first town to accept the Reformation in the year 1525.
