Today we started out in Wittenburg going on a walking tour of all the Luther sites. We saw where he and his family lived, the house of Philip Melanchthon (Luther’s closest friend and comrade during the Reformation), St. Mary’s Church once again, and the Castle Church where Luther posted his 95 Theses. The original door was burned in a fire. (Unfortunately, the inside of many of these sites are closed for renovation as the city prepares for the 500th anniversary in 2017).
