Parents are encouraged to look at our Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) for their Preschoolers.  As members of PHLC, parents may take advantage of early enrollment before classes are available to the general public.

A note from Pastor Ferguson:  At Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten, we believe that every child is a gift from God–intended to be loved, nurtured, encouraged, and gently guided toward realizing his or her greatest potential.  Our goal is to foster and cultivate a joy and enthusiasm for learning in each child.  Children are naturally curious; they are inventors, and problem-solvers.  And with the right guidance our children can soar. Children who graduate from our school are not only academically and socially ready to enter the public and parochial school system, they thrive in those environments.
We are very proud of our school and the quality of the social and academic program we provide.  I encourage you to take a look around our web site and invite you to visit us to observe our classroom, talk to the teachers, and even spend a day with us.  Discover for yourself why people say that Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten is the best.

DSC_4617_web_200x300 A note from Laurie Kretz, the PHL Pre-K Director:  As the Director at Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten, I am very proud of the quality of our teachers and the programs that we have to serve your children.  Our preschool program, serving children ages 2 ½ through age 5, is a place for growing, learning, understanding, curiosity, discovery and fun—all in a safe and loving Christian environment.
Because preschool children are active learners, our classrooms are set up to provide ideal time and space conducive for children to make choices, explore with their whole bodies and learn through play.  Our curriculum provides a variety of activities to nurture each child’s creativity expressed in a variety of different ways.  Singing, playing simple instruments, painting and drawing, and making friends are just a few examples of how preschoolers develop curiosity, creativity, and wonder.  Our science program introduces the children to science; Handwriting Without Tears © introduces the children to letters and basic number skills.
Preschoolers are also learning about patience, kindness, and friendship.  Through simple conversations, prayer, Bible stories and songs, children are learning about God’s love and His world.
The preschool years hold great possibilities for learning.  Each day offers something new and surprising.  This is an exciting time and we invite you to consider sharing these early years with us at Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten.
