We strive to bring the teachings of the Bible and of Jesus Christ to all youth (and visitors) through regularly scheduled Sunday School classes, as well as planned seasonal activities throughout the year.
Our curriculum has been structured in such a way that youth will receive age-appropriate elements important in Christian Education throughout the Sunday School Program at PHLC. The fifth/sixth grade class lessons are lectionary-based in conjunction with the weekly scriptures and the church calendar. The sixth through eighth grade classes follow our Confirmation program for Sunday School.
Sunday School meets between the two worship services on Sundays, starting at 9:45 a.m., and occur from September through May.
Our Middle School Youth have ample opportunities to inspire those gathered for worship. They may be members of the Chancel Choir and Orchestra. They also may be Soloists or Instrumentalists at liturgy. Click here to learn more about PHLC’s music ministry.
The Rite of Confirmation is a time for people to confirm the promises made to them by God in their baptism. During the 6th through 8th grades, PHLC helps educate students on the life and mission of the Christian church. Click here to learn more about PHLC’s confirmation program.
We offer a wide variety of spiritual growth opportunities for Middle School students, from a monthly bible study to weekend retreats and mission trips.
